Critter finally wins this 8th edition of OpenWar. Congratulations to Richard Vida, and thanks to all participants
"Abaddon" is a clone of Carnivor by Michael Sherwin. The "author", "Rajesh Rai", is a known cheater. Actually he was spotted even before the tournament started, and all other participants got a notification. It was rather fun to have the cheater babbling on the chat, with everyone else knowing who he was.

Thanks for all your dedicated work, Olivier!
I was pleased to get a top 20 finish.. could/ should have been higher if it wasn't for the pesky "I could give checkmate now, but actually, not sure I will.. perhaps I'll just play an inferior move which might lose, but hey-ho, it's only a game, right?" bug.
Let's hope there's an openwar 9!

Thanks for OW, Olivier.
It was fun being in the chat and watching the games live, although I missed that draw against Critter
