SWCR: Junior 12.5.0.3 x64, Fire 1.32 x64, Oldie-Mix-Tourney

Post by Frank Quisinsky »

Hi there,

at the moment I have some problems with three of the "new" 18 picked engines for my organized Oldie-Mix tourney. I will fix the problems end of next week and will start this tourney next weekend. Engines with made troubles in the test phase (Ruffian, Delfi and WildCat).

In the time before I will start a 1.200 games round robin on weekend with Junior 12.5.0.3 x64. After this test a round robin with the new Fire 1.32 x64, 1.200 games too (will be start around Tuesday next week).

Can be see in the evening on my webpage. At the moment the latest "Maintenace games" are running.

Maintenace games:
In SWCR all engines played now min. 1.000 games. Can be see in the rating list on my start page in the evening. A lot of the 143 tested engine version played more games up to game number 1.000.

Best

Hi there,

final result = 45 ELO to the predecessor.
From place 18 to 14 in SWCR!

the playing style from Junior 12.5.0.3 x64 is sensational. I made different statistics with the games and it seems that Junior in after the opening up to the middelgame the number 3! Such statistics are easy with SWCR database because all games are played up to mate without resign factor! A big advantage for more statistics we can create.

Junior 12.5.0.3 x64 won a lot of games under 55 moves up to mate. I believe this is record in SWCR.

And yes ...
Where Junior 12.5.0.3 x64 lost the points.
Clear answer ... in the early endgame.

With more and more time Junior found in different analyzes I made in the latest days the own blunders in the early endgame itself. This could be the reason that Junior is with more time a bit stronger as the others. Bad in blitz and strong with longer time controls. Very very strong in the early middlegame but weaker as much others with around +-50 the same ELO in the early endgame. A very rarly case I think but such things are possible.

Really a fantastic engines with an own playing style no other engine have.

Congratulations to the programmer!

Best
Frank

The next database is available next week monday (with the new Junior games) after the still running round robin from WB BugChess2 1.9 x64.

Correction:
Next game database will be available after the two round robin systems with:

1. WB BugChess2 1.9 x64
2. Fire 1.5 xtreme x64

End of next week.
Sorry, Fire 1.5 will follow after WB BugChess2 1.9 x64.
