Hello,
I would like to introduce the DIY Chess Computer "Mysticum" to you; it is a non-commercial project, which was developed by Guido Marquardt.
Do you play chess and you don't like to play always on the computer screen against chess engines but on a "real chess board" with "real chess pieces"??
With the help of this board you can download the technical documentation including the assembly manual. In the dropbox you can find the software. Here you can find a description of Mysticum including an instruction manual. Sorry, all documentation is written in German, but in the board you can post in English and you'll get an English answer.
Regards,
Michael

Hi Michael
Thanks for your post

i do believe it is a commercial project and i think the software for it is no longer being supported?
there was some discussion about this a couple of weeks ago on the Hiarcs forum:

Re: DIY Chess Computer "Mysticum"
Dear Steve,
I know this irritating discussion on the Hiarcs Forum.
Mysticum is definitely not a commercial project and Guido for sure does support the software.
First the Mysticum project was made public in another forum but the admin there didn't want to support the project Mysticum any longer, because of several reasons (you can find statements in the net). Now I started the mentioned forum from scratch and want to promote the project here.
If you are interested you can proof the non commercial character by registering into the forum and ask the other forum members. Several updates of the software have been issued by Guido since the new forum was started.
Regards,
Michael
