I am plannig on hosting a tournament, but as my tournament program can only host a UCI tournament, and I would like to accept XBoard engines. I therefore need an adapter that can take a XBoard engine, and produce UCI output.
Thank you!

Nope, won't help as I use OS X.

So why not use a better tournament program? Did you try cutechess-cli?

Indeed, this is what I have been using on OS X to deal with UCI/xboard protocol matches.hgm wrote:So why not use a better tournament program? Did you try cutechess-cli?

Just tried cutechess-cli - gives
Indicating that it is an Intel binary.
C'est la vie!

Re: WinBoard to UCI adapter
So why don't you get the correct binary, or compile it from source?

Re: WinBoard to UCI adapter
How old exactly is your Mac? PowerPC is not getting much support these days. Not even Apple supports PowerPC anymore. It should still be possible to compile a PowerPC version of cutechess-cli for OSX 10.4 - 10.6 with Qt SDK 4.6 or 4.7.ZirconiumX wrote:Just tried cutechess-cli - gives

It is a g4, roughly 6 or so years old.
