SWCR: Houdini 2.0c w32 and Houdini 2.0c x64 LIVE

Post by Frank Quisinsky »

Hi there,

for the next 11-12 days I stopped the Oldie-Mix tourney.

Still running now:

1. Houdini 2.0c w32 for SWCR-32 on 08/16 cores, 1.200 games to play.
http://www.amateurschach.de/ftptrigger/ ... c-w32.html

2. Houdini 2.0c x64 for SWCR-64 on 08/16 cores, 1.200 games to play.
http://www.amateurschach.de/ftptrigger/ ... c-x64.html

I wish the programmer no luck!
Robert, the different between you and myself ... I am faithfully!

Program is sponsored by one of my vistors (running as user wish).

But great is the support I got with download link problems from Chess OK. Thanks for this!

Hi,

no problem but I have big trouble with very bad results of Houdini 2.0c w32 and stopped this test. Now Houdini 2.0c x64 is running only.

It was tricky to produced with the installer of ChessOK a w32 version on my 64bit XP OS. After that the version is 200-300 ELO weaker? Perhaps the programmer used a crack protection, I think so because my way to try to produced a w32 versions seems to be wrong. It should be possible that both versions are included in the installer w32 and x64. If I produced with the installer a w32 version on w32 XP OS of an other PC, I got the message, that my registration don't work in text mode.

Enough, I lost to many hours with this problem.

Of course I have the original version by ChessOK. At first I have much download problems but ChessOK fixed this problem. ChessOK support is all the time I know this people really great.

Not very important but I have no interest to spent more of my time for a clone of an GPL program with is now commercial available with a bad installer by a programmer which told experts a fairy-tale.

Unfortunately, a visitor of my SWCR sponsored Houdini and this visitor wish a 32bit Test. This is really bad because I have no interest to install on each of my 4 SWCR systems an 32bit OS for this test.

This might help. :)

The 32-bit executable looks for the license key at a different location in the Windows registry.
To correct this you’ll need to use Regedit, the tool to edit the Windows Registry.
The license is stored at the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Houdini Chess\Houdini 2.0
There are two text values, the Customer and License code.
The 32-bit executable on a 64-bit Windows will look for it at the following address:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Houdini Chess\Houdini 2.0
You should create this key and copy the two text values Customer and License from above.

Hi Graham,

at first, thanks for your message.

If I do that I got the message:
No valid license code!

Note:
It seems that the license code for ChessOK is an other as the license code by the programmer itself.

My license code (of course with other numbers):
11111-11111-11111-11111-11111-11111
6x5 numbers.

Could you checked that?
I am sure that the license code by the programmer don't have 6x5 numbers. Could be the reason that your way you wrote about don't work in my case.

By the way!
THANKS for your help.

Hi Frank,

those were the instructions that I received from Robert Houdart.
The license code I have is in the format 1111-1111-1111-1111-H20 (where the 1111 sections are a combination of numbers and letters).

Graham.

Hi Graham,

think so.
So we have a complete other licence type.

I try to copy:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ChessOK\Houdini 2]
"License"="11111-11111-11111-11111-11111-11111"

to ... "I created this"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\ChessOK\Houdini 2]
"Licence"="11111-11111-11111-11111-11111-11111"

The way you wrote about with the code I have and the registry key I have but this don't work too.

In this case I must have a crack version.
With the original version I can't produce a w32 version :-)

No, no ... I am not a fan from such things.
The best way is to used 1.5 for my SWCR-32.
Again, for me is this not an important engine, only for much of my visitors.

Hi Loonie,

complicated to do that with FTP-Trigger. Made no sense! All games are available from time to time but not during a still running test.

Shredder HTML goes to my Corsair stick in my network (drive Q).

But here you have all 396 played games so far.

Download:
http://www.amateurschach.de/download/ho ... f-1200.zip

Without Shredder GUI comments, if you need with comments ... please give me a short hint.
