As WH Mowery would be proud of me: "Hi Ya'll!" Last night PeterPan's Ivanhoe 46h compile- tonight we have KLO's.
1CPU/32bit
128MB hash
Bases= NONE (Rybka still clinging to Nalimovs)
Ponder_Learning=OFF
Perfect 12.32 book w/12-move limit
40/3 Repeating
Match=50 games
IvanHoe 9.46h [KLO]........+28------+13/-9/=28-----54.00%-----27.0/50
Rybka 4.1..........................-28-------+9/-13/=28-----46.00%-----23.0/50
PeterPan's compile== +14/-8
KLO's compile===== +13/-9
Theoretically- pretty much impossible to get any closer than this. Which we should more than likely expect- maybe. Which means we either need a 3rd compile, 1 compile would have been enough, or 2 compiles were 2 too many.
We were told from the beginning that computer chess and testing was a hobby that we should enjoy. Guess what- somebody lied. One person's joy will always be another person's ire and/or anger. What a shame.
Stay tuned. Tomorrow we shall be wasting- I meant using- more bandwidth. A little-known, experimental IvanHoe version that could land anywhere on a scale of 1 to 10. I like surprises.
Again, another pile of PGN's available upon request and depending on my mood.
Bye Ya'll
