Hello y'all- I survived Christmas and I'm back. A very interesting match I have between Ivanhoe and the new Komodo 32bit version. And yes, this is the second 32bit release for Komodo, as there was a speed problem with the first.
This is a strong Ivanhoe version that can handle itself. Plus I have already run it against Rybka 4.1 right here, where Ivanhoe scored +70 Elo and ag. Stockfish 2.1.1 where the same Ivanhoe scored again- +70 Elo. And so, here it takes on the new Komodo 32bit!

Don't have a comparison with Komodo 3 this detailed, but you can see that the margin this Ivanhoe version won by ag. Rybka 4.1 and Stockfish 2.1.1 was cut in half by the new Komodo 32bit.
And I do not have to keep repeating something you already know- you do not take the results from one 50 game match and etch them in granite. Some will think another match- Komodo might do better. And some may think Ivanhoe would widen the margin. Each to his own.
At any rate, a very nice first showing here by Komodo 4-c2. These new programs are certainly proving to be well worth the money you pay for them. Nice work by Don and Larry.

PS: Just had a phone call from a friend in Uraguay where he is spending the winter with his in-laws. He is a prominent and excellent tester, having run thousands of 32bit and 64bit matches. He is running a 100 game match with the new Komodo 4 64bit vs. Strelka 5.1 64bit. (5 min. games) To date:
Komodo 4 64bit.............+29
Strelka 5.1 64bit............+23
Draws = ???????????????????
Another nice showing by Komodo! I would say if you haven't bought it, you are missing out!
