PS: I know what you're going to say, Critter is closed source. However Richard Vida is ready to distribute his source code by email, to any other trustworthy engine developer who requests it, and he has already done it many times. So it's fair to say that he contributes to the open source effort. Another good thing about Critter is that it's portable and that should be encouraged more. And of course, I was curious to see how IvanHoe and Stockfish would fare against it. I am quite stunned by the result. But Critter won fair and square, they all had the exact same conditions, and there were no time losses, forfeit by illegal move or disconnection or any such pollution. In fact none of the games constituting this rating list were terminated abnormally.

Perhaps Critter scales better than other engines at fast time controls ? (this is all 1'+1")
