What is the status of Houdini 3? Can we expect a release in august? How much is the estimated improvement in elo in blitz and long time control?

Hello Maurizio,
Houdini 3 is still scheduled for September 2012.
The past couple of months have been relatively quiet for the Houdini development, I've spent most of the time working on my big telescope.
If you're interested, see http://www.cruxis.com/scope/scope1100.htm .
Cheers,
Robert

That's a nice looking telescope, but it raises some questions that I hope you can answer ASAP:Houdini wrote:Hello Maurizio,

- How does it perform against the top commercial and free telescopes out there? More specifically, what's the ELO level?
- Can the telescope be transformed into a solar death ray? If yes, do you think it should be allowed in tournaments?
- The thing reminds me of some other telescopes I've seen before. Is it an original concept or a clone?
- I cleaned my apartment a few days ago and can't find my Higgs bosons anywhere. Can you help me locate them with your telescope?

There is only one way to decide the real world computer chess champ. Robert will have to run the event and invite all programs free of charge to enter.
Best,
Gerold.
P.S. At this date i think all who follow computer chess knows who the real world champion is.

I don't recall seeing you next door in CTF. You should stop in and say hi to Tim Frohlick who is a big telescope fan.

I thought I was giving him (and everyone else) a break by joking around a bit. Of course that telescope looks frickin' neat.stevenaaus wrote:Give him a breakilari wrote: That's a nice looking telescope, but it raises some questions that I hope you can answer ASAP:

Congratulations Mr Houdart, but may we have some info about the coming release of Houdini 3? Mainly, how much stronger will it be compared to H2 in blitz and in long time control?Houdini wrote:Hello Maurizio,
