This is the match that has aggravated me more than just a bit. Not that I am pulling for either engine to win- best for testers to try and stay away from that. My point is I was hoping for a very very close match at 40/40 repeating. Some call it an intermediate control, but I call 40/20 intermediate and 40/40 the beginning of the long controls. At the 1st Update it was a 1 game difference- but not so now.
**Just in case there might be one person who doesn't follow it, this a 40/40 repeating match. I am running it at 40/21, which would be 40/40 for, say, CCRL. The idea is to benchmark each machine so they will all be adapted to the same time control. A slower core, like the 32bit box I have, would be benchmarked at 40/58 repeating to adapt to 40/40. Hope this helps if even 1 person did not understand the idea behind it.

As you can see- Houdini has blown it open, at least for now. There are 18 games remaining.
Code: Select all
Houdini 2.0c x64 +54 +11/-6/=15 57.80% 18.5/32
Komodo 5 64-bit -54 +6/-11/=15 42.20% 13.5/32
I posted the finals of the 40/4 repeating match between these same engines about half an hour ago.
Here also is the link where you can download the complete 200-game PGN set for the finished 40/4 match: (It will be up for 7 days.)
