Older Engines

Post by jshriver »

Is there a good site that collects older engines?

Reason I ask is that there seems to be a couple hundred engines out there. But if you do google searches many sites no longer exist and no way to download them.

The Computer-Chess Wiki chess engine list has many older links (using Wayback machine)
http://www.computer-chess.org/doku.php? ... ngine_list

The list is in reverse chronological order, so start at the bottom and work your way up.

Thanks for that link, was able to find a lot of older engines via that wiki.

After re-reading the previous description I've decided not to grab.
Though it is nice to know there is a huge collection for engines that have gone away over the years.
