It was a close match all the way , but SF really came on strong down the stretch , going +4 the final 10 games........

No matter what the official rating , the increase from 1.4 to 1.5 is huge.

If there is anything left in the tank , 1.6 could be a contender.........

You don't know how much I appreciate you running this match. Anything at 40/3 repeating or 4m+2s or slower can be relied on as an accurate rating. This took some time, and I won't forget your help. If you want to PM me with your email address, I will reply to it with mine. Good to keep decent contacts. This was some good work here.

Thanks again,

-------------------------------------

I like to use sport's analogies ...... Some teams just have match-up problems with other teams.......

In these small tests , Bouquet beat Rybka , played SF + Komodo tough , but got hammered by Critter........ Go figure.......

Hello, Tom,
Thank you for your test, very grateful.

Take're right, in my test I am in tune them.

If Bouquet is tuned to the same engine family (Ivanhoe, Vitruvius, supposedly Critter), loses strength against Komodo and stockfish.
If you win or force against Stockfish, Komodo (not both, are not equal), loses strength against Ippolit family.

So try to find a compromise solution.

You do good work and I really appreciate what you did here. If 2 engines are from the same family, the first thing you will see is an extremely large number of draws. I ran RobboLito 0.10 a few months back ag. an engine that was from the same family as his. I will not mention the name on open forum here. I would tell you the name in an email.

The outcome was, in a 50 game match, using your specs- except time control was 40/3 repeating: Robbo won the match 5 games to 4 games, with 41 draws. Your match with Critter would tend to tell me Bouquet and Critter areNOT from the same family. But nothing is written in stone.
