FREEWARE RRs- IMPORTANT- PLEASE READ!

Post by geots »

I have concluded Groups 11, 12, 13 and 14. When I post shortly the updates for Groups 8, 9 and 10- there will only be a few rounds left in Groups 9 & 10. And this will be only the 2nd update for Group 8- as it is in its beginning stage.

As for Groups 6 & 7, which just began as well, with only 1 update posted- scratch them! I have looked at them both straight-on, sideways and upside down and I cannot change the fact, no matter how hard I try- that they cannot be run as they are now. They will have to be re-aligned and begun again from the start. There are a couple that are entirely too strong to be where they are, by a mile. And probably a few that are weaker that have to be adjusted.

No engines will be removed, except Atlas 3.20 x64 will be replaced with Atlas 3.25 x64- as that was my fault. 3.25 is maybe 10 elo weaker, but doesn't hardly have any games- and I should have started with it in the first place.

One new addition is Tucano 1.04, as there is an open slot leaving me one engine short- as one I have run at least 100 times in the past decided it doesn't want to load and play now. Maybe it is just old and worn out like me.

At any rate, if anyone has looked at the 1 only updates for Groups 6 and 7, and wonder what is going on- this is it. Please bear with me.

Hi Georg,

yes I wondered. But iCE scored only 0.5/3 so I'm not complaining if this starts from scratch again :-)

You won't have to worry about him playing Rodin 5.1 again. That was one of my screw-ups. Actually, by CCRL ratings, iCE now has the 2nd highest elo in Group 7. But just barely. But in the long run- a much better chance now.

But, this is probably the one that "anything" is most likely to happen in. There are only 70 elo between the top engine and the bottom engine.

Best,
