FREEWARES- GROUP 10- Hell Of A Battle Near the Top!

Post by geots »

I wonder how many people read my thread explaining how tiebreakers are decided in chessbase guis. Because I can hardly see a way that there will not be a tie for 2nd in this one, with only 5 rounds remaining now!

Probably a wild finish to this one. As unlikely as it may seem, it is not written in stone that Flux will be at the top when the dust finally settles.

On to get GROUP 7 started.

Hi George,

This group of engines is also well matched.
I think you said the tiebreaker was the sum of the defeated opponents scores from ChessBase which seems fine to me.

Close. To be exact, each engine gets all the points of the engines it defeated and half the total points of the engines it drew. In theory, tougher wins pay off. When those totals are the same- you could draw straws or have a one game playoff.
