There seems to be a new IvanHoe version out there- tho no new modified codes have been released. I thought it probably just some param changes from another version- but Vael Jean Paul tells me no- it is a new compile, and to watch this guy- he is damn good!
If you remember in my comprehensive 1CPU 64-bit testing Ivanhoe 46h came in No. 1. Well this version was not around then. It hasn't been out long. What threw me off track was the compiler called it "just for fun." Well, I was going to use 46h in the top group in Mega Freewares. But don't see how I can now. I am almost going to have to switch it for this new version, unless I just run it also as an experimental version.
It beat the latest Stockfish 15-4, Critter 7-6 (with 37 draws- strange) and Sting 21-4! It did much better than any version I ran ag. Strelka 5.5- losing 13-10- which means it could still be a bit stronger than Strelka. It lost to Strelka by 21 elo- 46h lost to Strelka by 49 elo. So it is a tough call on a short number of games.
But my semi-educated guess is there is no Ivanhoe out there stronger at the moment.
