I think you have done some great work. And I also want to commend you for it. Plus I will be honest- this thread served another purpose as well. It brings your post back to the top where it should be, and was, before I posted my last thread explaining the "5 straight wins." I could have and should have waited a bit and let you stay up there a while.

All the best,

gts

The PGN is not available yet, so I took freedom to compute my list of rating performances of this Round Robin tournament with my own programme that does not need PGN files (it only needs the amount of points that each engine scored: 19.5, 19.5, ...):

Code: Select all

Round Robin with 15 engines and 28 games per engine.
Total number of games: 210 games.

 Engines: Performance: Score:

Engine 01: 134.83 69.64 %
Engine 02: 134.83 69.64 %
Engine 03: 121.42 67.86 %
Engine 04: 95.71 64.29 %
Engine 05: 71.11 60.71 %
Engine 06: 71.11 60.71 %
Engine 07: 35.59 55.36 %
Engine 08: 35.59 55.36 %
Engine 09: -10.64 48.21 %
Engine 10: -45.52 42.86 %
Engine 11: -81.51 37.50 %
Engine 12: -119.64 32.14 %
Engine 13: -119.64 32.14 %
Engine 14: -146.92 28.57 %
Engine 15: -176.33 25.00 %

Mean of ratings: 0.00 Elo.
This list should be very similar to a list produced by EloSTAT. I hope I am right.

Regards from Spain.

Scratch "great" as far as my work is concerned. Still, my internal tests now indicate that Firenzina 2.3.1 will be about 20 Elo stronger, so I am going to release this Linux-compatible version very soon. Big thanks to Matthew Brades and Jim Ablett!
