Post by Hugo »

Hi ALL

another Komodo MP match :

Latest Stockfish developement version plays vs Komodo MP.
Conditions:
Intel i5 2500 quad @ 3.4 GHz
Engine match , all games will be played with reversed colors
openings book (Hiarcs) limited to 5 moves, wi(l)de play
4 cpu each engine, 64 bit, 1024 MB hashtables
Ponder OFF
Time 60 min + 10 sec
Fritz GUI with 80GB 3-4-5 some 6men Nalimov.

You can follow the games live. The window refreshes each 2 min automatic.
You can press ok button without any risk. Its just saying that it begins and that with F11 you can switch on/off fullscreen mode.
I hope this kind of livegames is liked...

I can stream it that way if I reduce the update time to 2 sec.
But that does explode my traffic limit.
Right now its a test...maybe I deduce to 1 minute. But so far it looks good and useable to me.

This looks like a good match. Interested what Komodo can do at slower time Limits. Thanks for the match.

Very nice indeed.
Komodo 5.1 didn't see the kingside attack coming (a known weak point) Its eval dropped from +0,55 to -0,1 from move 23 to 24, where Stockfish gives already +1,8 pawns advantage

Yeah, and actually you are using one of the weakest Stockfish development versions...try one of the later ones or even the 31-05 version and you will find that Komodo doesn't stand a chance !

I wonder how many games did you play to decide it?
I simply do not believe that you really played enough games to find the
small difference between the different developement versions.
