I have gotten similar results at 1+1.....SF is definitely becoming a better blitzer!
It is incredible how fast Stockfish has improved in this area of ultra fast time controls. 5 month ago Stockfish was about 100 elo points weaker against Houdini 3 at these time controls.

I did...it doesn't hold up. You too can check it out. I think Houdini 4 is a highly under-rated Engine ! Given at least 1-2 minutes per move, it either beats or draws with ANY Stockfish version, at least on my machine, even just using Contempt 1 !
In fact, I think the latest SF version is a step backwards.
I've always held that Blitz tests prove absolutely NOTHING. So SF may have improved its Time Management , but that's not of much interest to me !

In fact, I think the latest SF version is a step backwards....many Testers on the Immortal forum say the same thing.

How many games could you have possible run to make that determination with any kind of certainty at 1 or 2 mins. a move in one days time. It is only the 24th.

I will do the same thing. I just installed version 251213 of Stockfish, this is the table base version of 231213. I have to work the next 3 days. So I will do a 3 day run at 40/40.
Because the other post has me curious, the one claiming version 231213 of Stockfish is a step backwards at 1 or 2 mins. a move playing Houdini 4. And claiming this in about a days time worth of testing. I find this claim incredible to say the least because you would have such a small sample of games to make that determination if played at 1 or 2 mins a move.
I will check this claim with 3 days worth of games at 1 min a move playing Houdini 4. In 3 days time I will be lucky to gather 30-35 games.

Agreed I haven't played many, but even 4-5 Matches at LTC gives a rough idea certainly ! All draws, and that too with Houdini 4 with Black at Contempt 1 !
I've concluded these engines are organic at their core, any and all of the elements of our universe may influence their play, making them as unpredictable as a . . . ? (my wife) . . . LOL
