PGN (Portable Game Notation) Results Utility - version 1.3
----------------------------------------------------------
by Peter McKenzie, March 2000
A utility to extract results and statistics from a PGN file.
Usage: pgnres FileName [PlayerName] [/g|/s|/t] [/c|/r]
The '.pgn' extension is optional in the filename.
If player name is specified, only games for that player will be analysed
/c option produces a cross table (round robin tournament style).
/g option sorts by number of games played, then alphabetically.
/r option produces a round by round table (Swiss tournament style).
/s option sorts by total score, then alphabetically.
/t option sorts by total score, then by Sum of Opponents Points (SOP).
I have one (hgtable.exe), which I distribute with the ChessLive! viewer package, for printing a cross table as pure ascii. I am not sure it what you are looking for, as it prints the results in each cell as strings of 1, 0 and =. If you want to hadle thousands of games per pairing, I suppose you'd rather see the number of points, or perhaps points/games. Of course it should be rather trivial to adapt it for that.
