Hi,
I would like to let my chess program battle at a chess server. In the past I connected my program to fics but I don't know what is going on there but they don't reply to requests for a new account.
So my question is: are there any other chess servers to which icsdrone (or some other connector) can connect?
regards
chess server

Re: chess server
FICS can be slow to respond. You can ask an admin online what is up.
There is ICC (chessclub.com), but it is not free ($70 a year). A lot of people seem to balk at paying, but that is less than $6 a month. It is very active with many players online. I have been a member since the 90's.
HGM runs a server for programs at 83.163.204.254 but aside from his monthly tournaments (announced in the programming forum here) it is usually inactive.

Re: chess server
FICS is a good place for multiple engines.
I agree to Jon. It last minimum 1 week till you get a reply.
I tried to reactivate my old c-accout "chirpy" there, and it took 2 weeks.
I think I wrote to "computers" 2 times for that.
good luck
