3 points out of 12, or a Match Performance of 189-197 .75 vs MP > 735 1.0

Yes, Stockfish 5 is very strong.
But the latest "Retire eval weights UCI options" dev version is a very bad idea !
Stockfish definitely plays more differently and strongly if some parameters like Aggression and Cowardice are tweaked (correctly !), whether the Authors agree or not !
I'm sorry I can't reveal what EXACTLY the tweaks are as I'm a competitive (online) player, but take my word for it that it DOES make a difference, at least in some situations on the Board !
Of course, the Authors have the Right to make whatever changes they please, but I really think this is a BAD idea !

I play a version of Stockfish in my private rating list with tweaked parameters so I exactly understand what you're talking about....

Stockfish even with it's phenomenal strength still plays somewhat passively with the default settings and hence the relatively high draw rates....

I will revail the special parameters when I have enough games regards,

Thanks, Doc, and I couldn't agree more :) Taking away features is really a bad idea...
