Hello Chess Friends,
New results are added by Texel 1.04 and can be seen under below links
And so far I am impressed by the new Texel version...
Approx. + 50 Elo over previous version, well-done to Peter Österlund!

Seems to scale quite well to six cores, not has well as Hiarcs, but better than Senpai or Protector.

Btw, probably you mean:
Texel is weaker than Protector, but stronger than Senpai or Hiarcs ??

I meant that the ELO increase, going from 4 to 6 cores, is bigger. Regardless of whether the engines mentioned are weaker, or stronger.

Now it is ok )Ozymandias wrote:I meant that the ELO increase, going from 4 to 6 cores, is bigger. Regardless of whether the engines mentioned are weaker, or stronger.
Indeed, depending on conditions (which kind of engine, time control etc..) and in case of doubling the processor speed:
the Elo difference between 4c and 6c is approx. 60 Elo
And for example, between 6c vs 1c is approx. 150 Elo
