TCEC Season 6 - FRC event starts 28th of June at 16:00 CEST

The best 8 engines from Season 6 that are FRC capable will play a special event: Fischer Random Chess.
The format is similar to Stage 3 of Season 6 except that the performance in this event will not affect TCEC ratings.

This should qualify as the strongest FRC tournament in the history of chess.

FRC
16 cores, ponder off.
Up to 16 GB hash.
Time control is 120' + 30".
Quad round robin, 112 games.

I'm surprised Komodo is not FRC capable. It's trivial to implement, and both very interesting and a good testing measurement.

Yes, I'm pretty sure that Robert mentioned that his testing regime with Houdini was FRC.

I'm not sure that it is trivial, a lot of authors have struggled with the castling rules in my experience.

What can seem strange to the uninitiated, is that move 1 of the game can be a castle in some positions.

Everyone who watched the main TCEC event, I would urge you to watch this as well. Even if you haven't liked Chess960 before or haven't been sure about it, please watch this with an open mind, you will hopefully be pleasantly surprised. The engines thinking right from the very first move, in unconventional positions can be fascinating. And for humans too, gets them thinking as well !
