I corrected the older stats up to game number 500.
Found different bad lines and double lines and I don't see before.
Short stat to fast games:
Won 7, lost 2 only!
And that is my Impression too ...
I think engine is clearly stronger after the opening book lines compare to version 17.4. I hope it's later to see in my middlegame / Transposition into endgame and endgame stats.

here are the missed stats from my latest test-run.
Clearly to see that Arasan 17.5 POP x64 is improved in Transposition into endgame. Also the stats "lost and won" games up to move number 49 / 59 are clearly better.

Endgame from Arasan is all the time very strong. Seems that the programmer made here no things, means is more working on the bad points with fast lost games and improved with the latest changes the late middlegame / transposition into endgame.
Would be wonderful if Jon can confirmed that.

There were some changes in 17.5 that should improve endgame play: some adjustments to passed pawn scoring, an extra bonus for good king position when the opponent has low material, and a bonus for king mobility in the endgame. But I would not expect a dramatic improvement from these.
I think Arasan is doing better in your testing vs. how it has performed in CEGT for example (where it is a little below Gaviota 1.0). Not sure what the reason for the difference might be.

most of time the differences comes in selection of "opponents" and quantity of opponents. CEGT 40/20 with 1 core don't have so many opponents I added. Can be very easy see in CEGT rating list.
A good example is Hannibal!!
Hannibal is very strong in endgame but the attacking style in middlegame engine isn't on the middle of the field. Many weaker engines are good in endgame too but comes with a clearly better attacking style.
Means, if I test Hannibal vs. the best opponents only ... Elo will be higher. If I added more weaker engines improvements in Elo is smaler. EXchess, iCE, Fizbo, Spark, Cheng ... the group of tactical strong engines will be bigger and bigger.
If I looking on the participants in CEGT, CEGT results should be clear.

With playing style "witchcraft" we can explain more in differents between the rating systems. I follow the results a longer time "more from the others as my own" and it's allways the same.
After I read results from others I wrote last week in CSS Forum, never Hannibal is on my list 50 Elo stronger, max. 30 Elo stronger. I know the participants others are using.
Will not say others are bad, more that many different opponents will give us a more exactly results with lesser quantity of games. In my opinion one of the secrets in testing engines.
At the moment I am very happy with your engine. Really nice games, stronger in late middlegame and much more danger after the openings Arasan Plays compare to older versions. Perfect engine for my rating systems. No other engine have such stats Arasan have. That's important ... more different styles can make a Rating List with lesser quantity of games more exactly.
