FCP: Nemo 1.01 and Critter 1.6a will be follow ...

Post by Frank Quisinsky »

Hi there,

I will have different of the older engines in my list. Will have again a look in Critter 1.6a with the stats I can do today with tools I have (most created by Ferdinand).

So I have added: Sjeng, Thinker, Nemo and the latest Critter.

After this one I am testing current engines.
The newest strong releases of Vajolet2 and Nirvanachess will be follow.

Main prio since a while my opening book!!

Before I start the next rating list with other conditions I will have an really good book and I am to 95% happy with the book I have or better the engines I used optimated itself. I think I will start with other conditions a new rating list start of the next year.

After a while a rating list can be very boring. I will learn with different conditions and I am thinking that I should double the time control.

40 moves in 20 minutes is one idea!

An other idea is to play not on a rating list, interesting could be different tournaments with lesser games.

Best

You may try a TC with increment, say 15' + 3". Towards the end the engine will be somewhat time-pressured, this would challenge the programmer to improve its time management.

Try swiss system, you can enter the weakest and the strongest.
