I did not try it, but I guess that if you turn the Syzygy database off, the engines will find it quickly also.AdminX wrote:Bet you will spot Mate in 3 before the Top 2 with Syzygy will.![]()

Re: Bet you will spot mate in 3...
Hello Ted:
Other option is 1.- exf4, Kb8/Kb7 but three moves is still too short for me. I will not be world champion!
Regards from Spain.
Ajedrecista.
I only see checkmate in two with 1.- Kb6 and 2.- f8=Q# or 2.- f8=R#. I am not Chest, of course! It was my first impression, but I see that 1.- e6 is compulsory to not allow fxe5 and open the f-column. But 1.- e6, Rf1 searching checks... it is definitively too late for me, I am not a checkmate solver.AdminX wrote:Bet you will spot Mate in 3 before the Top 2 with Syzygy will.![]()

Hello:

Regards from Spain.
Ajedrecista.
Sure, I see it now. Kg3 typo by Nay (instead of Kb6) got me confused and then I started my own sci-fi film of wrong variants. Hoping that I will win the next Oscar for that...AdminX wrote:Nay Lin Tun, shows the correct solution.

Of course you did. My teachers knowing what I meant rarely got me a correct answer, though. Usually partial credit; sometimes none at all.AdminX wrote:Or maybe I just knew what he meant.Dirt wrote:Ted must be a very easy grader since he marked Kg3 correct!
