Gambit match Stockfish vs Komodo

Match conditions:

Total number of games = 40
Hardware = Core i7, both engines use 4 CPU's
Time control = game in 30 minutes, no increment
Tablebases = no
Ponder = off
Openings = 20 selected lines from GambitLines.ctg, 10 start with 1.e4, 10 start with 1.d4/1.Nf3/1.f4

Interesting. 7. e4 is another big line in the Benko: maybe better than 7. Nf3.

That is very old theory: most of the developments in the Benko are 80's and later.

Perhaps the original ECO was 1979. I'm pretty sure there would have been an updated version since then?

Indeed there have been updated volumes, but the irony is that these are not held in high regard - despite being more up-to-date, they are considered to be database dumps, whereas the original ECO volumes were meticulously prepared by strong GMs. Strange world we live in. :)
