Andscacs isn't esay to test?!
The performance vs. stronger opponents is a bit highter (not vs. SF and Komodo) ... think so. But all works wonderful, no technical problems and the move average (87 moves) isn't high. Also the quantity of fast lost games are clearly better with the new Versions compare to the preview versions. It seems that Andscacs avoid draw ... not many fast draw games.
Andscacs is playing interesting chess and have a safe place in FCT League 1.
What is to do?
On the end of my typical message you will find the complete Rating list. So we can better compare +- Elo to the predecessor 0.72 I have in my list.
+47,7 Elo after 200 games in my rating list!
+36 Elo in my "Frank's Continuous Tourney" FCT after 200 games!
That's what I mean ... 12 Elo more ...

Hi there,
normally my test system works fine with 1000 games only. That is my main interest in testing engines ... great súccess with lesser games.
Means different engines (playing style), many opponents and I have very fast (after around 600-800 games) an safe results. But +-10 to my rating list with more games is normaly, also if I am using 21 opponents for the 1.000 "Main-games". OK, such a case I have not often ... after 1.000 games +-10 ... very rarely.
Main problem I have now with my new League 1 and League 2 are the engine I calculate the ratings.
Hiarcs 14 with 2.825 at the moment.
And Hiarcs have many problems in the group of TOP-21 engines. Is clearly weaker vs. stronger opponents. Lost more and more games very fast.
Nice to see ... for around one year Hiarcs was optimal for calculating ratings. But the group of TOP-21 engines are today very strong in tactic.
I should switched to an other engine for calculating my ratings!!
It must be an older engine, not often updated ...
Chiron (clearly stronger in the first playing phase, not good for calculating ratings). Senpai (too many tactical holes in the first playing phase, not good for calculating ratings). Shredder isn't good with all the holes in tactic and today not strong enough for calculating ratings. Shredder is very strong in endgames but very weak in the first playing phase. To calculate with Shredder will give me each time an unclear result.
Again ... engine must play in the middle of the field.
The only one is Naum 4.6 or Protector 1.8.0 (great is Protector, can be see in my Protector 1.80 test-run ... very constand after 100, 200, 300 games ... and the stats too).
This group of engines are very constant in middlegame / transposition into endgame and endgame. But Protector is often updated and I don't have enough games.
At the moment Naum 4.6 with 2.884 Elo!
I think I switched from Hiarcs 14 with 2.825 to Naum with 2.885.
And in this case in League 2 to Smarthink with 2.755 (5 Elo more).
And the World in testing engines is again OK for me.
After this test-run or the Hakkapeliitta test-run.
To managed a rating list is each time a lot of work.

Re: FCP: More HASWELL Cores for my Rating List !!!
Hi there,
at the moment I am working on Hardware cleaning, updating my systems, cooler cleaning and so one.
For FCP I am using at the moment 2x 4770k = 8 cores.
8 games are still running to the same time without ponder.
That was enough for a rating list with a good time control and a good organisation.
Maybe next week I can start with 6 cores more.
A third of my systems will be used for my rating list.
After I start a new League with FCT League 2 ... I need a bit more power for faster testing. Have now 42 engines to test and with Rybka, Houdini and Booot I have to added three missed engines. I think I will added Rybka and Houdini.
New will be an Intel i7 5. Generation with 6 cores (5930k).
Can be run with Noctua cooler with 4.0 - 4.3 Ghz also (max. possible is 4.7Ghz with the Noctua cooler systems I am using).
In summer time my two Haswell 4770k runs with 4.0Ghz, in winter time with 4.3Ghz.
So I have 14 cores for my rating list, around 185 more games per day will be the result. Around 435 games per day can be play if I am ready!
A test-run with 1.000 games will be ready in around 2.5 days.
I am using the time control: 40 moves in 10 minutes repeadly. A game run around 45 minutes without resign mode (move average is around 87-88 moves).
Again, maybe I am ready with the new system start of the next week.

PS:
Using fast Intel "K" processorcs. For me more important that I have max. power with 1 core. The newer Intel 5. Generation with 8 cores isn't good enough for my rating list, cores runs with 3.0 Ghz, with Noctua cooler system maybe with 3.5Ghz. Same for Xeon processors (not good enough for that what I do). Again, need max. power with 1 core. Much more important for a rating list in my opinion.
at the moment I am working on Hardware cleaning, updating my systems, cooler cleaning and so one.
For FCP I am using at the moment 2x 4770k = 8 cores.
8 games are still running to the same time without ponder.
That was enough for a rating list with a good time control and a good organisation.
Maybe next week I can start with 6 cores more.
A third of my systems will be used for my rating list.
After I start a new League with FCT League 2 ... I need a bit more power for faster testing. Have now 42 engines to test and with Rybka, Houdini and Booot I have to added three missed engines. I think I will added Rybka and Houdini.
New will be an Intel i7 5. Generation with 6 cores (5930k).
Can be run with Noctua cooler with 4.0 - 4.3 Ghz also (max. possible is 4.7Ghz with the Noctua cooler systems I am using).
In summer time my two Haswell 4770k runs with 4.0Ghz, in winter time with 4.3Ghz.

Is nice to view confirmed the improvement in the game phase I evolved more in this version
A question. Do you consider your rating based on slower or faster time control compared to CCRL, having into account the cpu power also?
