New Shredder Incoming!!!

Post by fern »

In a talk with Stefan I was told that we can expect a new, totally brand new engine next fall -spring in my country- , so hold your horses...I have the impression we will see a quantum leap....

Not sure the GUI part will be reworked, on the contrary, Stephan suggested it will be not be the case. Generally speaking our geniuses in chess programming does not like much to work the gui side. Lot of effort and not the kind of thing that gives them a kick.

No, but if he says that it is a new brand engine, we can guess without much difficulty that it will be a substantially stronger entity.

I'm glad to hear, he's not taking the "Mark route".

Fall and autumn are the same, but they become spring south of the equator.
Deasil is the right way to go.

Hi Fernando,

I have other information.
Stefan gave me for around two years.
But perhaps such updates comes later ... I don't know.

I wish him many luck with all what he do for us and he do a lot for the community. That's German power I like.

Best

Great info, nice find.

When you say "next fall" do you mean Oct 2015 or Oct 2016?
I'm guessing 2015, but over on the Rybka forum we always check the year just to be sure...
