Tomorrow (Monday) chess.com plans to have IM Danny Rensch play two games against latest Komodo running on my 24 core machine with handicap book, with Danny talking about the games live. The time limit will be 5' + 5", twice as long as the previous blitz matches. The handicap is knight odds, with each player playing White once and Black once, Komodo removing the "b" knight each time. GM Lenderman was just even overall at knight odds (including both colors) at 3' + 2", so I figured Danny would need about twice the time limit to make for a fair match. So far lesser players averaging around FIDE 2150 have scored 75% in 12 games at knight odds, but with six times the time limit. I'd rate Danny as a slight favorite; I hope at least Komodo won't lose both games. There may also be extra games at audience-selected handicaps afterwards.
Match starts at noon Pacific time, 3 p.m. Eastern time.

A serious GM match is planned for this Wednesday and Thursday against Robert Hess, who will be commenting live during the games. Usual time limit of 45' + 15" (plus operator time). Handicaps and schedule should be announced during or after the Rensch blitz match.

Komodo won both games rather easily. I thought that with five minutes plus five seconds and alternating colors Knight odds would be tough against an IM, but apparently not. I think setting Contempt to 100 was pretty helpful, Komodo kept the games complicated.
