When maintaining a rating list, unfortunately you must try to do things like continuing to get games for older versions, equalise average opponent ratings, maintain some connection between 1CPU and 4CPU ratings, etc.

If I wasn't testing for CCRL, I wouldn't be bothering with older versions at all.
