Yes it was a draw. Skipper was only allowed to play with black chess pieces.

Re: Test positions for beginners or bad chess players
If opponent has bare king Skipper only computes distance to opponent king. For a pawn that does not make much sense. For the bare king it adds distance to corner too.
After latest code change now it starts running with it's passed pawn although not immediately. At least it ends in a check mate with two queens.

You miss the point.Henk wrote:Yes it was a draw. Skipper was only allowed to play with black chess pieces.
Your position is already draw because the 50-move-rule counter is at 100!

I guess Skipper was shuffling black king for last 100 moves, and it is FEN of end position, not startJoerg Oster wrote:You miss the point.Henk wrote:Yes it was a draw. Skipper was only allowed to play with black chess pieces.

Re: Test positions for beginners or bad chess players
Yes another bug Skipper does not understand 50 move rule or is it 100 plies rule. So if Skipper plays this test position using Skipper GUI it should not make a move at all and note that it is a draw.

Skipper also having trouble with this position. Although it finds a check mate in the end. Enough to do.
