Hello folks,
The next batch of Selective Searches issues #31-60 is now up and available on the website:
http://www.chesscomputeruk.com/html/sel ... _1995.html
Thank you for your patience in waiting. Issues #31-99 constitute the bulk of the “golden era” of computer chess. This era saw the steady progress of the dedicated machines, eventually reaching the top echelons of performance and competition. As we witness these machines overtake the monster mainframes of the era, culminating in a landmark victory by Ed Schröder’s ChessMachine in the 1992 World Championships in Madrid, we later see the dedicated machines succumb themselves to the rapid rise of the PC’s.
In these issues you find coverage of:
- All the major computer chess tournaments from 1990-2002
- Reviews of all new dedicated machines and PC programs
- Interviews with Ed Schröder (#45) and Mark Uniacke (#46)
- The programs taking on the Grandmasters (#54, #63, #69, and #70)
- Best buying guides (#61, #79, #85, and #91)
In about another month, Mike Watters and I hope to complete the entire collection of Selective Search back issues.
Best regards,
Eric Wainwright

where the SS mags are on. There is more pubs scanned and PDF'ed that I didn't realize because I was so focused on the Selective Search magazines.
"Computer Chess Digest"
"Computer Chess Reports"
Magazine articles about Computer chess from 1980-86
articles from "Byte","Creative Computing","Personal Computer World",etc.
