Re: Laser 1.2 Release
Hi,
Excellent engine, unfortunately it loses often on time. In 24 games he lost seven times. Pity. (/Arena 3.5 /TC: 5'+3")

Re: Laser 1.2 Release
Hi Gregory,
I haven't run into any time losses in my own testing. I found that Arena often becomes very slow, especially during tournaments, and then scores the engines as losing on time. Are you sure that isn't what happened?

Hi Jeffrey,
Not specially. Other engines work very well, without slowing. Besides, your Laser 1.1 works flawlessly. I'll try the L 1.2 under CB, and we'll see. Thanks again.

Re: Laser 1.2 Release
Hi,
I found the cause of the problem.
As it lost too in the same manner under ChessBase as under Arena, I reduced the threads for 4, (as the number of CPU).
Everything is OK now. Apparently, it don't support HyperThreading.
On my other AMD machine, (8 cores, 8 threads) it run well too.
All the best

Re: Laser 1.2 Release
Interesting, I've never actually tested with hyperthreading. Thanks for letting me know!
