A bit of fun with Lozza online (how quick can you beat her)

Post by op12no2 »

I've simplified the evaluation function to a single thing. Can you guess what that thing is by playing her. How quick can you win?

It was a bit of fun for some friends but you may or may not also find it fun.

:) i guess that would be a side-effect yes, but there is a solitary simple evaluation metric.

Here's another one:-

Neither of them know anything about relative piece values - in each case eval is a single metric. This one goes for you :)

In case anybody is interested the single metric for eval is difference in number of legal moves - which implicitly gives more mobile pieces more value and implicitly gives some development capability.

The 2nd one didn't work so well - ignore it - it was just based on attacks but would sac a queen to attack with a rook etc :)

PS: the real Lozza is here:-

http://op12no2.me/toys/lozza/

It's written in Javascript and is interpreted and run in your browser in real time. As such if you do a long analysis it's your computer CPU that is used - there is no server involved.

Various UIs including a mate-in-1 trainer which is fun.
