This migth very well be the case, no matter how absurd and unrealistic it looks like at first glance.Sean Evans wrote:Looks like Magnus is worried the Russians are going to hack him at the WCC! Bill Gates thinks so too

Internet hacking Carlsen's computer database is computer chess related.Lyudmil Tsvetkov wrote:This migth very well be the case, no matter how absurd and unrealistic it looks like at first glance.Sean Evans wrote:Looks like Magnus is worried the Russians are going to hack him at the WCC! Karyakin is a nice guy and I do not think he will agree to any scheme unfairly favouring him, but they still can do it without his knowledge!
PS. Why are you posting political topics here? I was just about going on a word rampage, but mods will move the thread again where it belongs, couple of subforums below.
So Carlsen has luck that he didn´t play against an american guy. The NSA has billions of us dollar and a manpower of hundred thousand to hack every man of the world.Sean Evans wrote: Internet hacking Carlsen's computer database is computer chess related.
Why would you have your most important data connected to a network at all?Sean Evans wrote:Internet hacking Carlsen's computer database is computer chess related.Lyudmil Tsvetkov wrote:This migth very well be the case, no matter how absurd and unrealistic it looks like at first glance.Sean Evans wrote:Looks like Magnus is worried the Russians are going to hack him at the WCC! Yeah, but the issue is that the Russians can do this just with a pencil.Thomas Lagershausen wrote:So Carlsen has luck that he didn´t play against an american guy. The NSA has billions of us dollar and a manpower of hundred thousand to hack every man of the world.
Good point, it sounds like sensationalism and free advertising for microsoft, not to mention making Karjakin look bad.Guenther wrote:Why would you have your most important data connected to a network at all?Sean Evans wrote:Internet hacking Carlsen's computer database is computer chess related.Lyudmil Tsvetkov wrote:This migth very well be the case, no matter how absurd and unrealistic it looks like at first glance.Sean Evans wrote:Looks like Magnus is worried the Russians are going to hack him at the WCC! Hacking a not connected hardware would need a lot more criminal energy and a physical break of the room where the data is stored,
or having corrupted someone in Carlsens team who has permission.
Or maybe it isn't meant to stay free.. it could as well be the beginning of a new promotion contract for Carlsen. Until now, it's not just the board where he has shown good strategy.carldaman wrote:sounds like sensationalism and free advertising for microsoft
