Running Old Engines (Deep Junior 7 etc) in Fritz 15 GUI

Post by BrendanJNorman »

Hey guys,

This morning I upgraded my Fritz GUI (was still using my ancient Fritz 11) and got Houdini 5.01 CB edition. 8-)

But...then I noticed that some of my favorite old engines don't show up anymore (Chess tiger 14, Deep Junior 7 etc).

My main question is...

Is there some "hack" or trick or something I can use to make them old engines work?

So can't just install the 32 bit version of Houdini/F15 GUI?

Still won't work?

If my memory serves well, the 64-bit version was installed automatically when I ran the installer. It did not ask me if I wanted the 32-bit version.

CB replied they would forward my problem to their technical staff.
There are separate installers (x86 and 64bit) which can be downloaded upon order.

Just login to your CB account and dl the x86 version.

I'm happy to sacrifice a few ELO (downgrading from 64bit to 32 bit) to be able to still use the classics! If thats all the issue is.
