SPCC: Testrun of Stockfish 170129 finished

Post by pohl4711 »

Testrun of Stockfish 170129 finished.

Long thinking-time tournament updated, too. 1231 games played on the new hardware (i7-6700HQ (2.6 GHz) Notebook (Quadcore) intel Skylake-processor, 12GB RAM)(running more than one month, now).
asmFish dominates this tournament of the "Big 3". +80 Elo to Houdini 5 and +90 Elo to Komodo 10.3. Outstanding performance of asmFish !!!

Has SF hit the wall? Also framework test says: ELO: 8.82 +-1.5 from SF8 in 3 moths, so we can expect 30 ELO in year only!? And there were patches lately that give combined +10 ELO in selftest, but nothing against other engines :o .

Can't they play framework test against foreign engine? There are free versions of Komodo and Houdini. Simple no patch accepted before progress against them!

The wall will be broke again
And in the meantime Komodo and maybe Houdini might catch up Stockfish 8 or even Dev

If the long thinking time tournament is played with opposed castle position, that might mean Stockfish is better in these situation than in normal situation.
