Winboard 4.8 help

Post by reflectionofpower »

I need to know how to auto login to FICS. I recall years ago it was something to do with editing a .ini file?

Secondly and this is a pet peeve of mine. I need to know if Winboard has a material display to show differences between the 2 players.

I am currently using Raptor which I like but it has no material display.

I find it irritating that I have to look over the board and calculate the difference all the time.

I got the auto login feature enabled. Now I just need to know if I can show a material score.

The material count is displayed in the title bar, behind the player names in parentheses.

One more thing. I thought Winboard 4.8 was 64 bit? If so where is the specific download link? I installed Winboard 4.8 thinking that it was 32/64Bit installer and I look in task manager and it says 32 bit.

The WinBoard package I host is 32 bit. The source code should be compilable for 64 bit architectires as well, though. I have no 64-bit compiler for Windows, and I would not distribute WinBoard as 64-bit anyway, because then it would not run on 32-bit architectures. A 32-bit Windows executable does run everywhere.
