Stockfish alternative compile

Post by Nay Lin Tun »

This website claim that their compile is about 8.5 % faster than abrok compile. Do you guys agreed? What is your opinion?http://chess.ultimaiq.net/stockfish.html

Ultimaiq is better than standard abrok compiles.

I find BYO (build your own) even better than Ultimaiq compiles

Stockfish Build Your Own (BYO) on Rybka forum.

In my mac I always build my own stockfish. It's simple, only few clicks :-)

Under Linux with x86 architecture you can simply do:

Code: Select all

make -j profile-build ARCH=x86-64-bmi2
make strip
If this doesn't work, try

Code: Select all

make -j profile-build ARCH=x86-64-modern
make strip
I doubt they really improve on that, better compile your own executable.
In principle, someone could try this: https://github.com/Acovea/libacovea
