CCRL 40/40, 40/4 and FRC lists updated (24th March 2018)

Post by Graham Banks »

The latest CCRL Rating Lists and Statistics are available for viewing from the following links:
http://computerchess.org.uk/ccrl/4040/ (40/40)
http://www.computerchess.org.uk/ccrl/404/ (40/4)
http://www.computerchess.org.uk/ccrl/404FRC/ (FRC 40/4)

Please note that the three lists are often updated separately to each other. The FRC list is only updated when a new engine or engine version is being/has been tested.

Hi,

Is SugarPro 1.4 considered to be a different engine than SF?

Regards,
Arun

It's considered to be in the Stockfish family, but is open source and plays differently enough to be considered worth testing.
This has been discussed several times previously.

sorry i was not questioning you, i just wanted to clarify as we may think of adding it as 4th engine for YLCET http://chess.my2dollars.ca/live.html

But one question though, why is it not showing in CCRL list as separate engine?, it shows up in absolute list

It is in the Stockfish family and so is considered a fork or derivative of Stockfish.

It makes 0 sence to add it in YLCET because you will have sugar vs sf coinflip in finals every time.
Basically sugar is some recompile of sf with a pretty minor changes, that are usually a slight regression.

I can't find Galjoen 0.38 in the rating list. Maybe it's being tested but not included yet?

I think there's something wrong with my testing... Teki does not seem to perform that well on my computer. I guess it doesn't help that I self test and then test against one engine when giving an approximate rating.

On a side note, how come Teki is green (free) instead of orange (open-source)?
