Apparently with Android 29 if you target that which is mandatory as of this November 2020 you can no longer write stockfish binary to the files directory from the assets and run it. you get error=13, Permission denied( https://stackoverflow.com/questions/603 ... ion-denied ) Apparently stockfish now has to be installed to a readonly directory when you first install the apk the /data/app directory i think. And you're suppose to put your files somewhere so they extract if you have android:extractNativeLibs="true"
I cant seem to either get them to extract or find where stockfish extracted to to run it.
Anyone more familiar with this?
