Prestige Challenger computer

Post by vb4 »

Hi everyone,

Was looking for some advice in repairing my beautiful chess computer. The problem seems to be that since this has magnetic sensors on each of the squares some of the magnetic relays are not working. I tried looking on the internet to see if anyone has the ability to repair the relays but I have not found anyone. If you or know someone that can help I would appreciate some contact information. They only made 1000 of these and its a beautiful machine and although I use it to play chess as a regular board I would love to get it working again.

Thanks in advance,

Les

If you don't get a response here, the Hiarcs forum is the place to ask, as there is a community of dedicated chess computer enthusiasts there.

I hope you can get it fixed. That was THE chess computer I always wanted, they were beautiful but more than I could afford at that time.

Hi John,
Yes it was expensive, it was $1,000 never forgot that but well worth the price even till today. Thx for your wishes
