downloading the weakest ccrl 40/15 chess engines

Post by Uri Blass »

I find that a lot of the links in the ccrl engine list do not work

https://ccrl.chessdom.com/ccrl/4040/

I try to download the engines at the bottom of the list.

I could download Hokus-Pokus 0.6.3
I could not download bace0.46 and I found no bace here
https://rwbc-chess.de/download.htm

searching in google I could find bace0.45 with the comment version 0.46 is much weaker!
unfortunately I find no rating for bace0.45 in the ccrl rating list to prove or contradict the claim.

I could only verify that bace0.45 is stronger at blitz

https://ccrl.chessdom.com/ccrl/404/cgi/ ... +opponents

I could download dreamer

link to pooky2.7 is broken but again I could download only at the same link that I downloaded bace0.45
For Saruman 2017.08.10 64-bit I found a link but I am not sure if there is some exe to download unlike source code.

This is just a tiny tiny tiny ... fraction of all links/downloads from my main site.

The CCRL testers have a lot of engines available that are no longer downloadable. Would it be possible to make a huge archive (or two) with the free and open source engines, and host it on a Google drive, at least temporarily?

I've been having a hell of a time trying to test my engine, because I often can't (easily) find the engines on the list in its strength range. (And after I found them, if possible, I still have to test them for stability. CCRL can probably test them running 30-40 games, but some can't manage to run 200-300 games in a row.

Just in case you didn't understand my message, go to the main site of the link you posted above:
https://rwbc-chess.de
Here you'll find my XB/UCI chronology (also the Details page), which has all links to all programs listed and all of the links work...
