Multiple Chessbase GUI's

Post by Wilhelm »

For testing/running old CB-native engines there is a way to run concurrent games at once.
You can start the Fritz 14 32bit GUI multiple times (12-24) and run gauntlets or tourneys.
You only must define a owen cbh file fore each GUI to save the games or they will hang.
So I was able to run a gauntlet with 400 games 40/2min in two houres.
Ryzen 5900x, 64GB Ram, RTX3080, 2x 2TB SSD, 1x 1TB SSD, 1x 2TB HDD, all custom watercooled, Win10 and Win7 Multiboot, Win98/Windows Millennium/WinXP virtual machines for 16bit

Well you wouldn't want to do it 12 or 24 time obviously. but the other solution if you only want two or three concurrently say is to log on as different users and run separate instances that don't in any way interfere with each other.
