Just curious if there was a reason why Komodo doesn't support the Raspberry Pi systems? I would love to have it for the DGT Pi and DaVinci Extreme computers.
Thanks..

With version 3 and 4 of the RPi there should be no problem with being able to run Komodo or Stockfish.
By the way, as of Linux Kernel 5.13 (or was it 5.14?) you can install Linux with 64 bit support on the RPi 4 natively.

Re: Komodo - Why no support for Raspberry Pi?
I’ve asked the Komodo Author on several occasions for a RPi binary of an older free version of Komodo with no luck.
The best you can do is run Komodo v 12.1.1 (free version) as a Remote Engine on the RPi using Picochess v3
As you say Stockfish including NNUE runs fine on the RPi

And why is there no commercial Android-version of KomodoDragon? Older Komodos existing as commercial Android-version...
Disappointing.

Re: Komodo - Why no support for Raspberry Pi?
Hi.
How should a komodo/dragon be distributed to a Raspberry Pi, I guess the only commercial interest is to get it to a DGT Pi (version 3 with 1GB). But as I hear the Centaur is a bigger success for DGT (sold more), this have a Pi Zero (512MB). Here there is maybe more work to do since you must make som additional programming to create menues etc. There is some work ongoing to create an image for the Centaur with additional engines, I don't know if this could be used to create an image special designed for Komodo/dragon.
I have only tried the Raspberry Pi version (Picochess) once, but couldn't see a method to install additional engines. I guess it must replace one of the preinstalled engines to get a slot in the menu (was it a6-h6 with a black queen), the Stockfish version I saw was (I think) version 8.
It seems much easier to make an android version of newer version of Komodo/Dragon. The last version (13) run perfectly in White Pawn, and are easy to install.

Re: Komodo - Why no support for Raspberry Pi?
The days of selecting Picochess Engines with the extra queens is long gone, it’s all menu driven now on the DGT Pi, Webserver or Revelation II.
We have MAME Engines, PGN replay, NNUE & Lc0 engines, Turing & Script engines, Remote engines & can play Online via FICS (full) & Lichess (beta).
