Turn book off in chessbase

Post by h1a8 »

In fritz gui how do I play the engine where the engine doesn't use the book (plays without book) but I can still see the book moves?

Engine- (.bin-) book loaded by the engine by UCI- parameter instead of the .ctg one addressed by but switched off in GUI maybe?

In the meantime I think I maybe misunderstood the question. If you meant how to see the book moves in the running game without letting the engine use the book, that doesn't work. There's no book- window in engine- engine games, only in games man vs engine. Yet in this case, playing on your own against the engine, you can't switch off engine's use of the book that's loaded by the GUI neither.

You can see the book moves of one engine using a certain book in notation by the lack of ponder- time, but for that the book must be loaded for the engine too of course.
I hope all your questions are answered thus regards
Peter.
