A question for the authors of the engines

I have a question for the authors of the engines listed below - do your engines play without the opening book. Thank you in advance for all information.

- Berserk
- SlowChess

Koi, Ber and Halogen can of course play without an opening book. I am not sure about SC.

Surely every engine could play without a book ? Why you'd want to for standard chess is another matter.
