the chess board have 64 fields.
8 pawns for each site for an second example.
Nothing is new!
The opening theory have A00-E99 ECO codes.
Again, nothing is new!
If others test engines with ...
- allways the same 30, 50, 100 or 200 (I don't know) positions ...
- opening books, not more as 8 moves or lesser ...
The produced results are more or less a new chess variant and have nothing to do with classical chess.
Easy: The A00-E99 ECO codes are a part of the game chess, same for the 8 pawns for each site for an example.
What I never understand:
Opening books, with a depth from 8 moves never can produced around 75 of 500 ECO codes.
Allways the same openings (30, 50, 100 or 200 positions) have nothing to do with ... all engines should have the same conditions!
If I download and looking in results by others I can also nothing do with such databases.
The next one:
A match between engines ended with mate or draw rules.
And not with -9 and a resign-factor.
For computer chess not logical!
All the endgame problems different engines have, nobody can see.

Why I wrote that?
At the moment I have a discussion with a very strong chess player about it (will not give the name of the GM).
And he told me, if he is searching computer chess games most what he found are computer chess with own rules or chess-variants. It would be much more interesting to get material from all the available opening systems. I do that since years, maybe others will follow. Hm, I got from him also a red-card. I should test engines with a time-control humans used for chess tournaments. That is indeed a problem if the time management for different engines with Fischer controls is not perfect.
