1)A lot of players at level fide rating 2100-2350 showed an interest to play against dragon without a white knight at 90+30 and I guess that most of the opponents are going to be at level 2100-2350 but there are some players with fide rating below 2100.
2)I still do not have a final date and I plan to tell the opponents about a final date at least one month in advance so players have time to prepare for the match.
3)one player with fide rating above 2500 showed an interest and I may give him to play against dragon with a smaller handicap if he is interested.
4)I may allow at least the relatively weak players(fide rating 1950-2100) to play with bigger than white knight handicap for smaller prize money in case they are interested to do it but I doubt if we will see it
5)One of the players who showed an interest and is going to play has no fide rating(except blitz rating) but probably has playing strength equivalent to 2000 fide rating based on his games OTB in the israeli league.
6)I am not sure at this point of time if players are going to play the moves with a real board or not.
I basically prefer real board and real clock like human OTB games but I am not sure if it is going to be possible.

Re: Some details about planned dragon-human match
If Mr. Kaufman believe that GM Nakamura can come out even against Komodo Dragon 2.6.1 with White Knight Odds at 45+15, and GM Nakamura is an Elite top player, then I believe that those 2100-2350 players will need at least three time as much time or 135+15 to come out even. Plus it would be a good idea if you can get the Opening the Mr. Kaufman use for Knight Odds.Uri Blass wrote: ↑Fri Feb 11, 2022 9:02 am 1)A lot of players at level fide rating 2100-2350 showed an interest to play against dragon without a white knight at 90+30 and I guess that most of the opponents are going to be at level 2100-2350 but there are some players with fide rating below 2100.

Note: Notice that GM Nakamura can give 5 Minutes to 1 minute time odds to most IM and still beat them

I fully expect GM Nakamura to beat Dragon 2.6.1 with knight odds at 45+15
I did not read that Larry Kaufman has a different opinion.

Re: Some details about planned dragon-human match
You are very confused here. I said that Naka vs Dragon at 45' + 15" would be an even match at odds of two White pawns (b or c plus f or g), which is roughly half of knight odds. Since Dragon has scored 33 1/3% against 2500 ballpark GMs at 15' + 10" with knight odds, it would lose nearly every game giving knight odds to Nakamura at a longer time limit. I can say that at 5' + 3" (with a no-repeat same 1st move for four game rule vs. 1e4) Dragon is performing at 2600 FIDE level. My best guess based on that is that a knight odds match (with that rule) with Nakamura would be a close match at 2' + 1" or at 1' + 1", probably somewhere in between. So the question is what FIDE rating playing classical chess is comparable to Naka playing bullet with 1 sec increment.Chessqueen wrote: ↑Fri Feb 11, 2022 4:42 pmIf Mr. Uri, are you going to set up a special Link so we can help you finance the expenses of running this match, or you are going to do it like GM Ben Finegold where we can send you money as the match is running?Uri Blass wrote: ↑Fri Feb 11, 2022 9:02 am 1)A lot of players at level fide rating 2100-2350 showed an interest to play against dragon without a white knight at 90+30 and I guess that most of the opponents are going to be at level 2100-2350 but there are some players with fide rating below 2100.

Some clubs are interested in hosting the event and I prefer not to hurry and I know that people who are interested need time to check things
so I guess it will take more than a week but less than a month(I do not plan to wait forever) to have a final place and final date for the event.
Of course I will be happy if other people help me to finance the expenses of running the event but it is still early to talk about it at this point of time.

Re: some details about planned dragon-human match
I would like to know how much money did ben get from people when the match was running and if it was more than the money that he usually get from people who donate money for him for other events.
I guess the money that ben earned against dragon-komodo from people is not a secret and I guess it is something that you can calculate by watching in all the games and finding the sum of dollars that people paid him because people could see how much money people paid to ben during the games.

Re: some details about planned dragon-human match
I was adding all the money that he got donated during the Komodo Dragon Knight Odds only up to the 5th game but I stopped calculating and he got $1390.00 at that point, I did not watch the 6th game since I had to meet with my mother in law.Uri Blass wrote: ↑Tue Feb 15, 2022 9:47 am I would like to know how much money did ben get from people when the match was running and if it was more than the money that he usually get from people who donate money for him for other events.
